The Real Estate Market in Catonsville, MD showed a small increase in average home prices in March 2016 – the average sold price was $275,525 which is 2% higher than this time last year. Overall the market has started picking up steam as we head into the spring and summer seasons.

The average days on market was only 63 days – a solid 35% lower than last year at this time. This is what you want to see – buyers actively seeing homes and putting in contracts. The Original Listing Price (OLP) to Sold Price (SP) was steady at 96% – homes are being priced right in Catonsville.
Indicator #3 – Active Listings
106 new home listings came on the market this month, up about 34% from this time last year. There are only currently 126 active listings in Catonsville, MD – this may work to the advantage of sellers as buyers have less inventory to choose from in this market. With contracts up by 24% buyers are definitely taking advantage of the lower interest rates.
