An EPIK Pie Day success.

pie day 4EPIK Pie Day is possibly the greatest day of the year for me! It happens once a year just before Thanksgiving and it is growing like crazy.  The 4th Annual EPIK Pie Day was even more successful than years before.

With 7 choices of different pies that are baked by SugarBakers in Catonsville. it takes us a month to coordinate the actual event. (What kind of EPIK Pie does everyone want?) This year we happily gave out 263 delicious pies to our awesome MVP clients and referral partners. A token of our appreciation for their past, current and anticipated business.

This year we expanded our pick up locations to a Monday night pick up in Eldersburg.

EPIK Pie DayDuring the day on Tuesday many clients came to our office in Columbia and had a nice chat and some cookies.

Tuesday evening we had a huge party in Catonsville with the largest attendance to date. There was dancing, games, food and beverages.

Everyone leaves with a pie.


It is pure joy to see all of our clients and catch up on their lives. New babies and grand babies, home projects, kids off to college etc. Some life events not so great, but part of life.

There were a few hitches on Tuesday evening (Volume on the movie was overlooked, the camera was on the wrong setting) but it was a terrific gathering.  My heart is filled with an abundance of gratitude for the wonderful people I am privileged to have helped with their real estate needs over the years who I now consider friends and family.

I’m additionally blessed to be surrounded by incredible people on our EPIK Home Group team. To pull this off we all pulled together (Even our EPIK kids helped out) With 263 people enjoying a delicious pie on Thanksgiving I think we can confidently say were be at many Thanksgiving tables.

The best part about Pie Day is catching up. For me, every transaction is 100% different from the last. Every client is different and every home we sell is has its own little quick about it. Every person has their own individual story about their Real Estate journey with us.

  • Speaking to Jordan at EPIK Pie Day we reminisced about how Jordan didn’t even see the house before they purchased it. Relocating across Country from San Diego, everything was done with FaceTime.
  • Eugenio said it was because of my Facebook post that he noticed that he reconnected with his roommate from college because I just sold the house and posted a picture.
  • Emily reminded me that one of the houses we visited I slipped on a step and almost did a somersault onto the concrete and I was pregnant at the time. (My son is now nine years old)
  • Abbie was still raving about the phenomenal deal they got on their lovely home.
  • Mike and I chuckled about the Gnome that I wrote into the contract because he belonged in the garden


Due to our Annual EPIK gatherings and client appreciation events, our past clients are creating meaningful relationships with each other too. Families that would normally have never crossed paths attend our client appreciation events and greet each other with hugs and smiles and laughter.

And to top it off on the text messages and Facebook messages and and and phone calls I’ve received since then it just fills my  bucket even more.

The entire EPIK Pie Day was a huge success. I’m on the verge of changing the name of “EPIK Pie Day” to EPIK HUG DAY” though.


EPIK PIE DAY What we hear from most of our clients is that they have friends and family who DON’T have this kind of relationship with their Realtor. We continually thank our clients for their business and referrals, but this year we are looking for introductions to REAL ESTATE ORPHANS that they may know.
